What to expect in Cusco
Cusco runs on 220 V / 60 Hz with A and C sockets. At 3,400 m the grid is stable, but hotels in the historic centre can have limited outlets.
Power in Peru comes mainly from hydro, natural gas, oil. Grid reliability is described as good.
Good to know: 220 V at 60 Hz.
What to pack for Cusco
- A travel adapter with Type A, Type B and Type C on the socket side.
- A step-down converter if you are bringing 110 V appliances that are not marked 100–240 V.
- A device label check: anything marked 100–240 V needs the adapter, nothing else.
